A shrine that cuts off bad ties and draws in good ties

In Japan, this winter season is the rush of entrance exams to test the abilities of the examinees. Junior high school and high school students have a different time to pass or not, and it is a time to take it seriously. We, in our 50s , try to lead such students to a better environment and devote themselves to watching over them, but the prayer for passing is to visit shrines and temples with students and pray for their wishes to come true .

The ways to pray for passing , but many students visit the shrine called Yushima Tenjin (Yushima Tenjin Shrine) in Tokyo during this period . Besides that , Kameido Tenjin Shrine in Kameido, Yaho Tenmangu Shrine, the oldest in eastern Japan, and Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine in Monzen-nakacho are famous in Tokyo .

The following five are very famous in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara.

-Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture)

-Sumiyoshi Taisha (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture)

-Kasuga Taisha Shrine (Nara City, Nara Prefecture)

-Oomiwa Shrine, Kuehiko Shrine (Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture)

-Ikuta Shrine (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture)

There are many shrines all over Japan that offer prayers for passing the test, all of which are aimed at achieving academic achievement, but people want to cut off the actions and behaviors that hinder academic achievement, such as play the app games and bad habits for  their ordinary life that conflict with academic achievement.

I wrote the blog which introduced about Kadotainari Shrine, which fulfills bad ties and bad habits.

This time, I would like to introduce Yasui Konpira-gu, which is a famous shrine for matchmaking, cutting off bad ties and drawing in good ties in Kyoto.

Yasui Konpiragu (yasui-konpiragu.or.jp)

address:70 Shimobentencho, Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto

This shrine in Higashiyama, Kyoto, is visited by many visiters throughout the year . One of the most famous is the “Ishi”, which is said to have the effect of cutting bad ties and bringing good ties by performing a certain ritual through this stone . It is said that bad ties are not limited to romance, but apply to all unfavorable ties such as gambling and unhealthy affairs.

The procedure for visiting here is as follows.

1.  Visit the main shrine

2.  Write your wish on the Katashiro (paper) to the left of the Marriage Marriage Monument * Pay $ 1 as your ambition

3.  With Katashiro in hand, go through a circular hole from the front to the back of the tie-breaking monument.

4. With the Katashiro in hand, go through a circular hole from the back to the front of the tie-breaking monument.

5. Put the Katashiro on the tie-breaking monument

It is said that it will be even more effective if you go through the holes of “3” and “4.” while chanting the wish you wrote in Katashiro with your heart.

Students can easily get through because it is only at the height of their feet, not a very large hole, but adults may have a little trouble. It may be a teaching that we need to be penalized at the same time as we pray .

If you can’t get through the hole, you can just stick the Katashiro on the stone.

Isn’t it okay to buy amulets when you’re done?

By the way, I have visited here twice, and it was raining lightly both times.

When I think about it now, it seems that the rain of grace at that time washed away the bad ties, and I think that the wish I prayed at this time came true at a later date and was beneficial.

If you’re visiting Kyoto, it’s a good idea to visit.

Thank you for reading to the end.

  1. From the Bible…

    1 Peter 1:13  Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

    1 Peter 1:14  As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

    1 Peter 1:15  But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

    1 Peter 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

    1 Peter 1:17  And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

    1 Peter 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

    1 Peter 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

    1 Peter 1:20  Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

    1 Peter 1:21  Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

    1 Peter 1:22  Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

    1 Peter 1:23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

    1 Peter 1:24  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

    1 Peter 1:25  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

    1. Thank you for your comment and the great word from the Bible. In my opinion, this ritual or convention not only conveys your wishes to god or others, but also thinks and recognizes what you can do to improve your situation. When you want to change the current situation, I think that you can change yourself by giving an opportunity to go the shrine and pray.

      1. I understand. I used to go to shrines also in the past. But when I started reading the Bible I learned that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man, that God is to be worshipped in Spirit and in truth, and Jesus Christ is the only one that can save our souls and change our hearts.

        Someone encouraged me to read the Bible many years ago and I did. I was born again. I repented of my idolatry and visiting shrines. I pray you would get a Bible and read the Gospel of John with an open heart. Mr. Tomo, please watch the video at the link. You will hear truth.

        1 Timothy 2:5  For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

        John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

        Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

        John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
